Description:

This course is designed to train Instructor Candidates to teach the base-level courses in the Basic Life Support program (Instructor-Led Blended and Recertification). To be eligible candidates must hold a current base-level certificate in American Red Cross BLS or equivalent. Instructor Candidates must complete an online session including the final exam prior to the in-person session and successfully complete the skill proficiency verification. Instructor Candidates also must actively participate in the in-person session and complete all class activities including reciprocal practice and practice teaching assignments in both the instructor and participant roles. Upon successful completion candidates will earn an American Red Cross Basic Life Support Instructor certification valid for 2 years.
