Vernon Emergency Medical Services proudly presents the American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course, designed for healthcare providers, EMTs, first responders, and public safety personnel who need to be ready when every second counts.

This comprehensive in-person training prepares participants to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide high-quality CPR, use an AED, relieve airway obstructions, and work effectively as part of a response team.

This course equips participants with:

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Use of AEDs and basic life support equipment
  • Relief of airway obstructions
  • Team-based response strategies in prehospital and healthcare settings
  • Basic cardiovascular life support techniques
  • Recognition of cardiac arrest and other life-threatening emergencies

Flexible Learning Paths:

Participants may choose the course option that best fits their experience and certification needs, including initial provider training or renewal training for currently certified providers.

Certification:

Certification is issued through the American Heart Association upon successful completion of all required course components and meets national healthcare provider requirements.
