Emergent/Same-Day AHA HeartCode Heartsaver Skills Session — Durham, NC

*Emergent/Same-Day Sessions- Please Read All Details Below* 

This service is intended for last-minute, time-sensitive certification for the hands-on skills component of the American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode® Heartsaver courses. This option is also appropriate for individuals or pairs who prefer a private, one-on-one session with an instructor for reasons such as test anxiety, chronic medical conditions, or other personal considerations.

Common requests for emergent sessions include providers with extenuating circumstances who are at risk of certification or licensure lapse, job or contract termination, removal from work schedules, or loss of contingent college program acceptance if certification is not obtained within a short timeframe (typically within 48 hours).

This skills session fulfills the hands-on skills completion requirements for five blended American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode® Heartsaver courses:

1. HeartCode® Heartsaver Basic First Aid CPR AED

2. HeartCode® Heartsaver Total  First Aid CPR AED

3. HeartCode® Heartsaver CPR AED

4. HeartCode® Heartsaver First Aid

5. HeartCode® Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

The New Enrollment email for your appointment will contain all course information for the five course options, along with links to the corresponding products through ShopCPR. It is your responsibility to select the appropriate certifying organization and purchase the correct course based on your employer’s or institution’s requirements. Please verify all requirements prior to booking your session.

Heartsaver Requirements

You must complete the selected HeartCode® Heartsaver online course prior to your skills session. It is your responsibility to select the appropriate certifying organization and purchase the correct course based on your employer’s or institution’s requirements. 

After purchase, the course is completed on elearning.heart.org using the same login information. All HeartCode® products include access to an eBook version of the Heartsaver Student Workbook.

Bring a hard copy of the Completion Certificate with you to your skills session. We cannot test you without this certificate.

Additional Emergent Service Fees:

Additional costs may be incurred for sessions requested under the following conditions:

• Less than 2 hours’ notice

• During holidays

• Third-shift or overnight hours

• Inclement weather

• Private sessions conducted outside of a MedUltra CPR brick-and-mortar location (e.g., workplace, residence, etc.)*
