Blended Learning with In-Person, Instructor-Led Skills Session

The Health & Safety Institute (HSI) CPR, AED, and First Aid course combines self-paced online learning with an in-person, instructor-led skills session for a flexible and practical certification experience.

Participants first complete the HSI online learning portion at their own pace, then meet with a CPR By Jeremy instructor for hands-on practice and skills evaluation at their home, workplace, school, or facility. HSI’s blended format specifically combines online cognitive learning with an in-person skills session led by an authorized instructor. 

During the course, participants learn and practice how to:

• Perform CPR for adults, children, and infants
• Use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• Respond to choking emergencies
• Provide first aid for bleeding, burns, allergic reactions, sudden illness, and other common emergencies
• Recognize medical and injury emergencies and provide appropriate care until additional help arrives

This course is ideal for teachers, coaches, childcare providers, workplace employees, fitness professionals, community members, and others who require certification or prefer the flexibility of blended learning while still receiving hands-on skills practice.

⏱ Course Length: Varies depending on the online portion, group size, and amount of hands-on practice required. HSI lists the overall First Aid | CPR AED program at approximately 2.5–7.5 hours depending on delivery method. 

📋 Certification: HSI CPR, AED, and First Aid digital certification, valid for 2 years.
